Sad News

I have bad news for all you animal lovers. Johnnie the bird died. We aren't sure why exactly but think it may have something to do with his heart. He just couldn't handle cats flying out of nowhere and landing on his cage. We will be having a memorial service for him soon. Funeral arrangements will be conducted by LeMays.

More sad news. My sister in law broke her ankle today. When she was leaving our house today she stepped on the edge of the sidewalk and twisted her ankle. And fell down. In pain. We thought it might be sprained or twisted but the Drs. took an xray and told her it was broken. She might even have to have a screw in it. OUCH!

J.D. came over to our house this afternoon. Julianna and Jessica walked him over. He is just so cute! My kids were running around in circles in the yard and we were trying to get him to run around too. He just looked at the kids and looked at us. I think he thought we were all crazy. Julianna and I are taking all four kids to the zoo on Monday. We'll be packing a picnic lunch and making a day of it. Since we have a zoo membership for the year we are going to try going every other Monday.

Michael took me to the Scholastic book warehouse for a Mothers Day present. Every May and December the warehouse has a 50% off sale on all books. They also have bins of books for .50, $1.00, and $2.00. I had SO much fun!! I love books. I bought the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I have never read any of them or seen the movies but have been hearing so much about them for so long I decided to get them. I also bought books 1-6 in the Chronicles of Narnia series. I think I got 40-45 books total! Woohoo!! I love books!!
