I hope everyone had a wonderful afternoon. We had SO much fun at our city's annual 4th of July at the park. There was lots of games (think bobbing for apples, hula hoop contests, etc) live music, hay rides and trolly rides. All the emergency vehicles were out and the diferent law enforcement agancies all had booths set up to hand out brochures, safety whistles, balloons and all that sort of thing. The kids got to sit in one of the fire trucks, police cars and a SWAT vehicle. We left the park and headed to an ice cream shop. The kids left there with BLUE lips!! Next came the parade and then home. We decided to skip the derby this year since Michael has to work tomorrow. Right now we're waiting for it to get dark enough to go watch the fireworks.
