4th of July

We had an awesome weekend! Yesterday we went down to the parade and met Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty. I took my camera with me and Michael had me taking pictures of all the old cars and Devon had me taking pictures of EVERY animal in the parade. Needless to say I have a LOT of pictures on my camera! After the parade we went home to prepare for the BBQ we were having. I had invited all our extended family and a few neighbors. It was so much fun! I would have to say it was one of the most enjoyable family get togethers I've been to in a long time. Everyone was relaxed and having a good time and since we were outside the kids could run around and play instead of bouncing off the walls inside.
Devon's birthday is this weekend. She is going to be 11. Actually, her birthday is on Thursday but since Michael works and gets home late we are going to celebrate it on Saturday. I have no idea what to get her for her birthday. All she wants is a horse or a pony. That's not going to happen. So I'll probably just get her a stuffed horse and call it good.

It looks like you all had a great time! How fun! We were duds. All we did was go to the city's fireworks show but we had such a fun time. It was so nice a cool compared to how it was in the daytime.
